Hi there,

I'm looking for a basic digital piano for use in my 1000 sq ft condo. I'm a novice player playing for recreation. The 3 digitals that I'm looking at right now are the Yamaha P60($750), the Yamaha YDP113($999), and the Roland F100($1000 floor model). I've played all three in the stores and like the feel and sound of all of them. The major difference I see (but admittedly couldn't hear) is that the Roland has 64-note polyphony compared to 32 for the Yamahas. The Roland also has a few more "voices" and a record function. Anyone have thoughts on these three machines (or anything else in the $1K or under range)? Thank you!

The polyphony is not really an issue, 32 notes is enough, you will never notice a drop out.
The piano tone, the action, and how they behave is most important.
The Yamaha is considered the best in its class for pianistic behavior, i.e. action, tone and dynamic response.

I recommed:
P250 (best)
P120
P90
P60

All use triple strike samples for their piano notes except the P60 which only uses a single strike, therefore it has less expression.

The Yamaha P90 has 64-note polyphony and costs $995.

32 note polyphony is a little thin don't you think?
