I have had no musical training, but have sold audio equipment for several years and have an apprectiation for quality sound & reproduction.

Here's my dilema. My daughter has outgrown the digital keyboard that we have been borrowing (short keys and no sustain pedal adapter). DW and I have discussed looking for a digital piano. We like the idea of light weight (by comparison) and no maintenence issues (tuning) that a digital piano will provide.

I've seen a Yamaha p60 ($850) in the store that seems adaquate, saw a p80 for sale in the paper ($500), checked the Yamaha site, but can't determine what the diffeences are or if I should care.

I've also looked at a Technics SXPC25 ($1300). It seems to have a "warmer" tone to it, but for $500 I'm not sure it's worth it.

Is there something else that I should be looking at.

I would like to get a piano that she will not outgrow in a few years, but don't want to spend any more than I need to.

Help, I have no clue what I should be looking for.

Your price on the P60 is way high. The list price is only $750, and if you order it online you can get free shipping, no sales tax, etc. For example, this site[/b] sells it for $750 with free shipping and a free Yamaha L120 stand. I bought my P90 here.
