Has anyone with piano knowledge (of which I have none) had a chance to play and compare the Casio PX-300 to the Yamaha P60??
QUESTIONS:
What are the differences?
Is the P60 worth the extra $$$?
How much can I expect to pay??

Thanks!!

P60 is around $750 in most discount places with the stand.

In my view it's worth the extra $50 over the $700 PX-300 (including the stand).

PX-300 does have more instrument voices and certain input/output terminals.

The actions of P60, shared among the Yamaha P series, are closer to that of a grand piano to me. From what I can remember, the Yamaha keys appear to be longer; the forces needed to depress the keys don't increase as much at the root of the keys compared to at the tip of the keys. This is important if the pieces you play involve a lot of fast sharps and flats. You may want to check it out for yourself as these are my impressions and I don't have a side by side comparison setup.

Depends on what you are looking for.
PX300 has arranger functions. You can play songs on fly using its preset songs style(rock, slow etc.) Many more sounds too. Great for family fun.Keys actions are quite good too. Piano sound is not that expressive though. Good for kids who are into piano playing, at the same time, enjoy playing songs and performing.
P60 has good piano sounds. Other than that, it has only 5 buttons to press. More suitable for adult beginner who wants good piano sounds but on budget.

Thanks dbm and Kenpcola,
I am an adult beginner and am looking for as close to real piano feel as I can get (although I don't know what that is since I do not play \:\( ... yet \:\) )

I'll go give them both another try this weekend.

Thanks!
