Are there any digitals/keyboards with 76 keys that have full sized piano keys?

I was disappointed to discover that my new Yamaha DGX-220 has slightly smaller keys that my acoustic piano. The 220 measures 16 cm from C to C whereas the acoustic is 16.5 cm.

I have a Casio PX110 which measures the same as my acoustic.

I'd like to know about the following models:

Yamaha NP30, Casio WK110, Roland EP 7

A side question: Should I be concerned about this small difference in key size? I bought the DGX220 to use mainly as a practice piano but I'm concerned about the smaller size keys.

Thanks!

I can't really answer your question about those particular models, but as far as your side question, here's my $0.02: I would be more concerned with the weight of the action as opposed to fractions of a centimeter in difference of key size. If I remember correctly, the DGX is an unweighted action, no? According to many people on this forum, myself included (now that I've finally bought a weighted board and "seen the light"...), an unweighted board can prove to be a negative factor in developing mechanics for playing on an actual acoustic. In other words, you may feel that acoustic pianos are hard to play when you are so used to playing an unweighted board. There are other members that feel the weight of the board is hust about irrelevant as far as developing acoustic technique, but I'm just putting it on the table for your consideration. The problem is that there aren't many, if any, 76 key digitals that have a fully weighted action (weighted actions seem to be exclusive to 88-key boards). So if space, weight, or cost are high on your list of priorities (which they are for about 99% of us), and 88-keys is out of the question for any of these reasons, then that pretty much makes everything that I just wrote above a moot point. Besides, you have a a Casio PX110, so you already have a weighted action covered.

With all of this said, if you're having trouble physically playing your DGX (i.e. playing two notes at the same time by mistake) because of the size of the keys, then this is a whole different story. I'm making the (perhaps premature...) assumption that you were perfectly satisfied with the size of the keys until the measuring tape convinced you otherwise, and now you're just feeling buyer's remorse. Don't get sucked into this. If it feels/plays good to you, then that's all that matters.

I'm done rambling for now. Hope this helps.

Don't be absolutely sure that any unweighted keyboards from any company have exactly the right sized keys. What they do with key size is just weird, since the amount of difference is so small.

I think Yamaha makes keys that are somewhere between .97 and .98 of full sized keys.

As other people have said, the lack of weighted action is a much bigger factor, and you *will* run out of keys sooner or later.

By the way, I seem to remember playing on at least one un-weighted 88 key Yamaha, and those keys were also too small.

Regardless, please do yourself a favor and get something with weighted keys, if you are not buying something really cheap and small, like one of the 61 key keyboards.
