Hi.,.I'm considering to buy a digital piano,.but I'm confuse about which type is the best buy. I'm considering at CASIO Privia PX700, CASIO PX120 or YAMAHA P70,.. the prices of these are about the same.
I'm considering the most at Casio PX120, but still not sure...
Is anybody can help me? or provide me with some advices?
Thanks smile

What kind of music will you be playing? Are you considering more sounds and features important, or not? The choice may vary, when you are thinking only of a good keyboard action and good piano sounds, or when you are thinking of a more powerful keyboard.

Privia P120 is without doubt more feature rich than Yamaha P70. It features more sounds, offers half-pedalling capabilities when used with Casio pedal unit, and some others quite neat features which Yamaha, as a very simple unit, doesn't have.

Keyboard is of course a personal taste - I preferred Privia P110 action over Yamaha P70, but I haven't played P120 yet. I am not really fond of Yamahas GHS action found on P70 - whereas I really love their higher models. But that doesn't necessarily mean you would have the same opinion. Have you played on both and have some preferences already?

Of the three you list PX120 is the latest generation, and the one I'd personally choose, if the price was the same.

Hmm,.actually i don't really need more sounds and features ( i guess ), as I only need the digital piano so that I can practice again. I used to learn piano, & was using accoustic piano back then, but have not played at all for a few years. So, now I'm looking for something that has similar touch & sound as accoustic piano, ..I've tried playing on CASIO Privia PX700, CASIO PX120 or YAMAHA P70... but still not sure which to buy.. perhaps I'd go with PX120..

I have a question: does anyone expect the prices on the CASIO P110s to drop with the PX120s coming out? Does the introduction of a new model lead to the older ones dropping in price? Could prices be lower after Christmas?

Quite frankly I expected PX110 to drop price after PX200 came out. But it's been almost a year and the price is still around $400. I guess they can sell them for that much, because it's still the cheapest as far as 88 key, weighted digital pianos go. Perhaps anyone remembers what happened with PX100 prices when PX110 came out? I'd only expect PX110 to get cheaper, if PX120 is cheap as well.
