only $150 apart, help!!! are the keys and sounds same?

this is so frustrating! I think i'm gonna love FP4 session partner! but RD300GX looks so sexy!

if i get rd300gx, will Band-in-a-box do the trick?

I want both FP4's session partner and RD300GX SMF Player !!

Hmmmm, I could convert Midi files to Audio and feed to FP4 with Ipod....

but RD300GX is so much lighter! arghhhhhhhhhhhh

oh i was wrong. they weigh almost the same.
I'll go for FP4 because of the Audio In and Session partner.

I bought the 300GX, then returned it the next day and bought an FP4. The 300GX looked much more professional, as did the controls and display. However, then I had to buy a case for it. Even though it's a fairly narrow keyboard, the extra length (for the pitch/bend joystick) requires you to go to a much bigger (and heavier) case. I also missed the music stand that the FP4 has. I like to travel light, so the FP4 worked much better for me - and I was able to use the case I already owned for the FP3 that I replaced. The Session Partner has been quite useful over the years, for me mainly for practice, and the FP4 will base the bass line on what you are 'comp'ing with your left hand - very neat.
