HI,

just got my casio px200 and i'm happy I finally got DP to compose something ;\)

Please kindly advice few external sound cards on USB that you think works perfectly with Casio PX series. Main requirement is to get increddible sound quality, import VST Instruments, play at least 30 instrument at once with drums etc... e.g. to play some jazz band music or orchestra

Thank you.
I'll post my music once I create something useful \:\)

Are you looking for a sound card you can directly connect to the USB port of the PX-200?
I did not know such thing could be done.

I also have PX200 and have not yet gotten a sound card, but I thought products by M Audio or Edirol are where one can start. Another question is your budget.

You may find this discussion interesting also if I am not mistaken:

similar instruments sought on a sound card

There are others who prefer to use their computers with VST software rather than an external soundcard, you may have noticed some of the other threads but many of these focus on piano sounds.

Thanks.
link seems to be an old 2004-2005... lots of things changed since that in hardwares. I'll check for m audio and Editor though. thx for hints.

Anyone with just great professional sound card advices maybe then?

thanks, appreciate your activity.

Maybe this is more current on the M Audio products. I also wonder if you'll get further checking forums that specialize in your editing software, there may be advantages based on your computer specifications to consider.http://www.dealtime.com/xGS-external_sound_card

I'll be curious what you find out, I am looking into this option but probably on a low beginner's budget.

Check out the E-mu 0404 here: http://www.amazon.com/Emu-0404-Audio-MID...306002&sr=1-16. The specs look excellent (hi sampling rate and very low noise) and there are lots of good reviews for it. I think it is a popular choice here on Piano World also. Since it has Midi inputs, you can connect the MIDI outputs of your PX-200 directly to it. I have a PX-200 also, but have not hooked it up to anything external yet, so I'm not sure if there is any advantage to using midi connections vs USB(or what is required to do that). I just noticed that there may be a driver issue with OX 10.5 though, if you are using that. It would be worth checking with E-mu to confirm.

1) Forget USB if you want to get the most out of your audio card.
2) What is your budget.

1. Eternal, I checked Roland/Edirol/M-audio offering USB 2 interface so how come such popular brands offer USB2 then if it's not ok? e.g. http://www.roland.com/PRODUCTS/EN/UA-25EX/index.html

2. Budget is about $250
