Talk about a Buzzkill,
I won the kawai DP on eBay for a great price through an eBay shipping outlet. I wait for two weeks for it to get here and then I open the box and the left hand side is all smashed, which is where all the cable ports and controls are.
Someone just ruined a nice stage piano and my day simultaneously because they don't know how to properly pack an expensive instrument. Now I have to go through the FedEx claims process and probably wait weeks to get money back.
I guess I'm back in the DP market once again.

Its starting to get ugly already. I filed a damage claim with FedEx 5 minutes after I opened the box. Now the shipper says, no, and that they have to file the claim so it doesn't get denied. They also say I have until the end of the day to advise them of what I'm going to do.
Well, I "advised them" that I had already filed a claim yesterday, and the box is on its way to fedex for claims processing and they would have to deal with it. Shipper says that may 'jeopordize' my claim. I say, well whatever, that's what small claims court is for.
What a hassle.

i feel for ya.. had a similar situation; the zzounds company shipped a digital piano to me..when it got here it literally looked like a train had ran over it.... They refunded my money (incl. shipping), and i bought elsewhere, so they are still cool with me.. I would buy again from them, but still it was a simply a bummer. -good luck...

Ok, its now Day 21 on the damaged piano saga.
Fedex Payed the damage claim, but apparently only partially (by the way, damage claims are always paid to the shipper for some reason and you have to fight with the shipper to get your money).
Shipper says they can't pay me and must file a secondary claim to try and recover the difference. Somewhere in there they referred to me as being 'lucky'.
I'm not sure that being the only person that paid any money for the item, and having to watch others fight over who damaged the item while holding my money hostage constitutes being 'lucky'.

Who was the seller / eBay store? Did you leave a feedback on the seller's profile? I'm looking at an item on eBay at the moment and I'm really wary as to whether or not it'll arrive in one working piece because I know it's hard to deal with eBay sellers when it comes to returns. I haven't left feedback, yet, because its still a work in progress. I'm definitely not happy with their attitude and I have actually spoken to them on the phone several times. I won't mention the store name until this dispute ends, but it is a eBay-related chain and is located in Brooklyn, NY.

Day 23: ITS RESOLVED !  :2hearts: It was appearing to go downhill, and I sent one final plea for them to just give me my money back based on the good faith I had shown them, and THEY DID! I then left them positive feedback and noted that I had some problems with them, but those were resolved eventually. What a hassle that experience was.
