Hi all, i read through RD700sx's manual and discovered that there was no mention of a sustenuto or soft pedalling function that could be programmed under FC1 or FC2. Please advise.

Thanks

If there's no mention of sostenuto or soft pedal function in your manual, then you have a different manual than mine. The factory setting of FC1 is soft pedal, and the factory setting of FC2 is sostenuto. I'm not sure how you would access these settings in edit mode since I've never tried (I'm a pianist who has no use for pedals to do anything other than the 3 standard pedals on an acoustic). Have you tried plugging pedals into FC1 and FC2?

You're welcome. I happen to find the RD700SX very simple to use. I spent alot of time learning how to edit its settings, only to discover that I really do like the factory settings after all. So basically plug it in and turn it on, and it's ready to go. I know, every keyboard should be like this, but my experience with practically every digital previous to this involved lots of editing to get a satisfactory sound.

I think you spelled it wrong. Use Acrobat and search for "Sostenuto" instead. On page 156 you will find both of them mentioned actually.

Best.
