I have seen Mario's review of the program and tried the demo. It seems like it could help a beginner learn how to play the piano. Anyone other than Mario out the have this program? What did you think if it.

Mario if you see this post, would you recommend this as a useful way to learn how to play the piano or is it better suited for someone that knows what they are doing.

Thanks

Hey Jimmy,

As with any software program, I don't think by itself it can really fully educate someone in learning how to play piano. There are other factors to consider such as fingering and proper technique and these are best addressed by studying with a qualified piano instructor.

However, as a supplemental activity in between private lessons or group classes, I think Home Concert Xtreme can be a very effective tool in improving sight reading through the Learn Mode, rhythmic continuity and stability through the Jam Mode, and musical sensitivity through the Perform Mode.

I hope you do get the program because it has always produced positive results with my students.
