The Yamaha website shows a new YDP323 model
. I have searched this forum and have not found any information on it, and have not really found much on Google, either. I did find two websites that are selling them for $1299, which is less than the 223. ( link
I have heard read reviews on this site about the 223 which says that it's sound quality is not that great. The 323, however, boasts improved sound quality as one of it's features. One site I found listed it as a midgrade model between the low-end 113 and the "top-of-the-line" 223.
Does anyone have any information about this model? Is it an upgrade or downgrade to the 223? Does it sound better? If so, why is it priced lower? Looking at the pictures, I can't see any switches or buttons of any kind, but it lists several finctions and voices.
I don't really know much about digital pianos, but I would like to start playing the piano again, and in my small house, I would only have room for a digital. The better it sounds and looks, the better, since it will be the only piano I have, and would also be one of the first things you see when you walk in the door. I don't really care too much about all the bells and whistles, since I will primarily just be playing in the grand piano sound and not mixing anything. The Clavinova line looks really nice, but I think they might be out of my price range. Hard to know for sure, since I can't find them online anywhere.
