Anyone have any experience with this model. Also I am unable to find a price comparison. A local music store has a floor model for $2800 marked down from over $7500. Need to decide between this at 2800 and a Nord 88 at over $3300.

Ordinarily, I'd say get the Nord, because I've
been wanting one myself, and I've never heard
of an hs-22. But its original price of
$7500 suggests a digital that can do everything
but get up and dance. So depending on what
it can do it might be a great buy at $2800.

The 'Heritage' range of instruments were produced for the American market, I believe, in collaboration with Lowrey.

The HS22 was produced in 2000/2001, which in digital piano terms, is rather old, with technical specifications equivalent to the CA1000/CA1200 models of approximately the same period (e.g. 64 note polyphony, 5 song, 2 track recorder, etc.).

I would typically recommend again purchasing a digital piano that is over three years old, simply because of the pace at which the internal technology advances.

The Nord 88 (Nord Stage?) instrument is an excellent instrument - undoubtedly technically superior to the HS22. Furthermore, due to its intended 'stage' use, the Nord offers a variety of functions not present on the more traditional HS22.

Kind regards,
James
