Hey everyone, this is my first time posting here. I'm very despirate for advice on this subject. I'm just wondering what everyone's opinion on what electronic keyboard would be best for this price range. I am basically looking for a used one, but if there's something new in that price range that would be a good deal, i'm definately for that. I just want something that: has a good sound, has plenty of synth options, doesn't come with junky teaching software i don't need, and one that is pretty advanced with many options. I would also like it if it had some built in speakers. Could someone please help me out?

I bought a Roland EP 70 three years ago for about $700 -- it has 76 keys (claims keys are weighted) and now consider it to have been a BIG MISTAKE! The sounds are actually pretty good, but the keyboard is a toy. So beware what you buy -- I don't know your skill level or purpose. I was a complete beginner and didn't really know much. That low-end keyboard actually has slightly smaller keys and very little play in the keys which made it difficult for me when I went to my lessons which were on a real acoustic grand.

I finally bought another digital, this time a high-end Clavinova and am very happy! Hope you get some good advice here because there are some good stage pianos out there which might fit your budget.

Thanks for the input, i was actually looking at a keyboard similar to that from Roland, but i think i might stay away from it. \:\) My school had a clavinova that sounded wonderful, and i'd get one probably if they were more portable, at least, than the one at the school.

I've been looking at several korgs on ebay, which don't have the built in speakers, but i'm fine with that now. so please, if anyone has any advice at all specific to Korgs please let me know.
