Hi.
I need your help to find specific electric piano:
I need a portable[/b] electric piano with Progressive Hammer-action Keyboard[/b] (like Yamaha DGX-620), with at least 76 key, BUT NOT an HEAVY one - I want it's to be up to 10 kilogram (MAXIMUM) without the keyboard stand[/b] .
P.S:I want it to be cheaper as much as possible. \:\)

Thanks in advance! \:\)

it means only 1 Yamaha DP you can consider: P85 25lb. wait... you get none from Yamaha, they are all above 10kg.

The casio Privia models are 30 pounds (about 13 or so kg), if you are willing to go a bit over your limit. The px-120 is around $499 (I got mine for $429 on sale), the px-320 floats around $699.

Don't forget the Yamaha NP-30:

Technically, the NP30 is not weighted.

Yes, I realised that after posting the response. However, if the physical weight of the instrument is the most important factor, the NP-30 is arguably the best choice.

Kind regards,
James

James, I agree that it may end up being closest to what VIAQPfn2 is looking for. His/her requirements seem to be mutually exclusive.

VIAQPfn2,

How about considering the M-Audio ProKeys 88sx? I'm not personally impressed with their action - some of the demo models I've tried did not seem to have a uniform response and it is also semi-weighted. Weight wise, this keyboard is 17 pounds.

I think if you are really serious about a good hammer action, you will need to relax the weight limit. Reducing the number of keys from 88 to 76 really doesn't help because most hammer action DP's are 88 keys.

Rich

That's the fact, but I don't understand, why - among all dp producer's - there is only one instrument with 76 full-weighted keys. Clavia understood that length and weight are important for many players, but others don't. Even in midi controllers world there is no such a instrument (!).
