I own today a CVP105 Clavinova.
I was looking to buy a new digital piano and I my choice went to a CVP208.
Untill the day I played the real thing ... I was very dissapointed about the very light touch of the keyboard compared to my older CVP105 where the touch of the keyboard is more close (read heavier) to a real piano. Does anyone else experienced the same feeling that i had? or am I completely wrong?
What about the natural keyboard on the CVP900. Is the touch on this keyboard heavier and more close to a real piano then the actual keyboards on the new CVP2xx serie.
I am not talking about the sounds. About that there is no discussion ... it leaves my CVP105 far behind.
Please can anyone give me some good advice that tried out the different models.

I own a CLP 990 which also has the Natural Keyboard. When I tried out the CLP's wich had the GH keyboard (like the CVP 208) I experienced the same thing : too light touch. After I had played my CLP 990 for a month I had a piano lesson on a Kawai grand, it's touch seemed light in comparison to my digital.
The best thing would be to be able to play the CVP 208 for a month and only then comparing the touch to that of an acoustic, you might be surprised at how little the difference is. It's only after you really know the touch of a piano that you can decently compare it with the touch of another because your fingers need time to adjust to the new situation.
I'm very happy with my "Natural Keyboard" and for me it's the best action available on digital pianos. Note that everyone's opinion varies on this topic, it's really a personal matter.
A tip : if you compare two pianos, compare them head to head but don't go running from one to the other constantly. I'd rather play one piano for twenty minutes and only then play the other. Take your time to get an idea of the action of a piano before you go trying out another.

Some can tell you to go to hell in such a manner that you would think you might actually enjoy the trip, but that is far more polite than civil - JBryan
