I finally decided I want to learn to play the piano and have just started looking around. I think I really like the digital pianos and yesterday spent a couple of hours in a store that specializes in the Yamaha Clavinovas. I think this is my answer, especially because it comes close to the acoustic paino sound but you can play it with headphones and not disturb anyone. All the bells and whistles I hope to grow into! I am focusing on the CVP203 and 207. There's about $2000 difference and I don't know if its worth it. I like the more powerful speakers (better sound even through the headphones)and more memory in the 207. But the difference in bells and whistles is a bit beyond me at this point. Any experience with either of these or this line in general? Also any specific comments on any of the pianos in this line would be appreciated. Thanks!

There's an excellent user group for the CVP Clavinovas at www.cvpug.com. You'll get lots of help and advice there.

A middle alternative suggestion -- the CVP205. It still has nice speakers, you can plug in a microphone & the best part is you have the scoring function which is great to learn on. Check it out.

Thank you for all the help. I bought the 207 and I'm very happy with it.
