I am contemplating the purchase of either the Yamaha GranTouch DGT2A (with a real keyboard action) or the Yamaha Clavinova CVP-900.

I like the idea of the DGT2A having a real keyboard action, but I see that its polyphony figure is 32 versus 256 for the CVP-900.

Any comments or advice from those familiar with these 2 Yamaha products would be appreciated.

I think you've pretty much captured it - action vs. electronics. I "interviewed" both and wound up with the CVP900. Pros of the CVP: polyphony, quality of piano samples (to my ear anyway), and price. The action isn't bad, though not as good as the Grantouch. The CVP of course has a whole raft of "ensemble" features, which weren't a deciding factor for me but are nice to have.

Unless you can't live with the CVP's "natural keyboard" touch I'd go with it. Yamaha really ought to update the electronics for the Grantouch line.
