I am looking at several digital pianos for my daughter who has started lessons. My theory...perhaps with the ability to play a duet with herself, play along with some rythmns etc, it will help maintain interest which is currently high. (Plus it might allow me to play around) She is 8 and has been musical from birth. I am intrigued by the Roland KR-5, but wow!!! $4200. I can afford this but have no clue as to whether this is wise. I have read about the Yamaha CLP 170 and some of the CVP models. Also the GEM RP-220. I am wanting something she can play around with and have some practicing going on at the same time. Any help appreciated. thanx

I'd suggest using the "search" command in this forum to ask about these and similar models. You'll find a wealth of information (or at least strongly held opinions!) in the many threads on the "what should I buy" topic.
