This morning when I put on my earphones and began to play on my one-year-old Yamaha Clavinova CLP 240, the sound came through BOTH the earphones and the speakers. I'm an early-morning practiser, so using earphones is important to me. Yesterday it was fine. I checked the connections, which seemed snug, I plugged and unplugged the earphones a couple of times, I turned the system off and on again several times, I unplugged everything from the wall. I'm not sure what to do next.

A technician once showed me a trick of holding the On/Off button while pressing I think it was the very top white key to do a system reset. It doesn't sound a likely solution, and I seem to remember it wiping saved files or something like that, so I haven't tried that method yet

Any ideas before I start the long process of calling Yamaha?

Oops, found my own answer in the Owner's Manual p. 64 -- Turn the speaker switch OFF. It must have accidentally got changed. Thanks, self.
