The EP2 is similar to the ES4. I sold my ES4 because it kept developing clacking sounds in the black keys.

The FP4 is not more expensive than EP2 or CP33 where I shop.

The Kawai ES4 and the EP2 are not the same model. There are subtle but significant differences in the features with the EP2 having fewer sounds, fewer drum rhythms, less sequencer features etc. You can compare the specs here:

It's also important to note that very few (two?) ES4 owners have had the problems with the keys that rintincop has had. I am still using my ES4 problem-free and I play it extensively in a professional environment - usually four hours or more at a time several days a week.

On the other hand, I have had severe problems with Roland products and support in the past - ten years ago I got so frustrated with them that I sold every piece of Roland gear I had... no kidding. This only shows that individual experiences with any particular brand or model or product can vary widely.
