Hi

I’ve just purchased a Roland FP-4 a few weeks ago and I’m currently experiencing an issue with the inbuilt speakers in the unit.

When playing on the higher register of the keys, the speakers have a metallic, rattling noise, as though something is loose, or the speaker is buzzing against something metallic.

I’ve plugged in headphones and all sounds fine, so. In every other respect I’m very happy with the instrument. I'm just not sure if this is normal for the speakers or whether there could be a problem.

I'd be interested to hear what other peoples experiences are with the Roland fp-4.

Cheers
Michael

Have not had that with mine. Maybe try tightening the screws on the underside.

My advice is to return it to the dealer, if that's an option. It's under warranty so the time to get any issues dealt with is now. You can try to work it out but it's best to just swap it for one that works.

Another thought: could it be the stand or something else in the room that's rattling/vibrating sympathetically?
