I'm looking forward to getting a Yamaha CLP175 this Friday. It's not cheap but I love the action and the features are great. I had an inexpensive digital for a couple of months but found that after about an hour of playing on it, my hands would hurt since there was not enough cushion when the keys were fully depressed (not sure what the technical term is).

So it's going to be nice to be able to play a piano with action virtually identical to an acoustic whenever I want. There are many times I get up at 4:00 in the morning and would love to play!

Does anyone else have a CLP175? I was wondering how the action holds up after several months of playing. Also if there is any other info about the piano that you can share, this is also much appreciated. \:\)

I think you'll find the CLp175 to hold up quite well. I have sold many over the past couple of years and haven't had any problems!

Enjoy!

p/s just curious, did you compare it to the CVP309GP?

Christopher,

Thanks for the info on the CLP175. It seems like a very well built piano. Yes I tried the CVP309 but not the grand piano version. The action is very nice on the CVP309 although I still liked the CLP175 action a little better. Also, I just don't need all the bells and whistles that the CVP line has where the CLP175 is mostly focused on the piano and still has the recording functions and the basic functions I like.
