Well, I have no idea, never put my fingers on a piano, but my 6,5 years old son is very good in his first piano lessons, I need to buy a digital piano.

After a long investigation I am in between the DI-(tri)-LEMMA:
Roland hp-102(1250 euros)/hp-103 (1500 euros) or Kawai CN-3 (1300 euros)

I read messages in forums and the overall impression is that Kawai pianos are slightly better than Roland.
Please recommend!

My personal recommendation is the Roland HP 102e. Just because I have recently bought it and feel it will last me several years to come.
I did do some research, and was mixed up for a while because, of price, popularity and other stuff etc.
My teacher recommended the Roland and although more expensive than I wanted to pay, seemed better quality in the end.
Very happy with it.

I havent tryed the kawai CN-3, but I wanted to chime that kawai was at the top of my list and Rolland was at the bottom. I wasnt looking for effects/features though, just the best naked piano sound. You don't need to play to hear the difference (or you do and I made the wrong one!). Peck around on em, and I think the differences are big enough that one of them will stand out.

I liked the action of the kawai better
I thought kawai had a more acoustic-like sound

BTW, Rollands had a quality feel, just prefered the performace of the kawai.
