Both models are being replaced. You may be seeing differences due to close-out pricing, inventory levels, that sort of thing.

The PX-200 is not a new model, although it is newer than the 110 and the 310. The PX-120, PX-320, and the PX-720 are the new models, I believe. They are not widely available in the states yet though, and it is currently possible to get great deals on the 110, 310 and 200 because they are making room for the new models.

What the 310 has that the 110 doesn't: -it has tweeters -1/4" line in and out jacks -midi thru jack (not just in/out) -200 sounds (including some general midi stuff)

I recently spoke with a Salesperson at Sam Ash and he said they (sales people) felt the older PX-310 was better than the newer models. And that some of the salesman were purchasing the PX-310 before they were no longer available.
They are selling them for $499; Musician’s Friend has them for $399.
I will be checking them out this weekend.

I'm happier overall with this instrument, and thought it was worth the extra $100. Methinks you were being fed a line of hype!

[/b] I agree at $400 and $500 the PX-310 is not a great bargain with the PX-200 being out now. Several folks have picked them up for $400 at times through Same Day Music (I think it was them). I have a PX-310 and it's a good DP but I bought it used and got a good deal on it. If I were you and buying new I'd wait for the PX-200 to be offered on sale again at Same Day Music (I think it was them).
