Hi,

I don't know if any one has been following the post on the GEM digital on this forum. Since writing to this forum I have received a lot of information about pianos and I really thank everybody who have replied to my queries.

Does anybody own the CLP970 Yamaha? Any input will be very helpful. I am very keen on the GEM RP220 but people have been telling me look into the Yamaha brand as well and this particular model is which I like. The problem is that it is way above my budget. I haven't played either of the brands (hopefully will get an opportunity to do that in a few days) but as much as I can make out from the specifications given on both the websites they both have pretty much the same things. But yet, the price os the yamaha is nearly double of the GEM. Please advice.

Thank you,

The only difference in the 2 models that I can make out is that the yamaha has "graded hammer action" while the GEM has "hammer action with escapement". Since I have never owned a digital, these terms are latin to me. If somebody could just explain what is the difference between these two I would appreciate it.
