I have a Yamaha P80 that is strictly for home use. I am currently using a Boston Acoustic satellite/subwoofer multi-media system that is meant for and tied into my computer. Although it really does sound pretty good, I was wondering if I might do better to go with something else. Anyone using the Roland MA8 monitors or a stage type amp/speaker with their home electronic piano? If I bought a the stage type, would the loss of stereo be offset by better bass? I don't plan on touring with Springstein, I just want a good, realistic sound for home use. I am not looking to spend a lot either, maybe $150 or less. Thanks for any feedback.

Hi Stanza The Roland MA8 powered speakers are great. You can't go wrong with them for home use.
However, if you're looking for a professional quality keyboard amp, you'll need to push your budget a bit further than $100. I personally use the Roland KC300 amplifier. In fact I like them so much, my live set-up is stereo KC300's. I even like them better than the larger, more expensive KC500's.

Just in case anyone's interested, I use KRK V8 powered monitors in my studio set-up. These are the greatest sounding monitors I've heard for under $1500. Very impressive and I highly recommend them.

KRK V8: which brand? What do you think about the Yamaha MSP10 powered monitors?

KRK is the brand. The V8 is the model. You can find out more info at http://www.krksys.com they're not the cheapest speakers, but they sound incredible. The Yamahas are well respected but are a little harsh for me. If you're mixing that's one thing. But if you're listening for pleasure, there are better options out there in my opinion. I'm certainly not the end-all authority on this stuff, but some other inexpensive pro quality powered monitors would be Tannoy Reveal Active speakers (www.tannoy.com) and the "pro-sumer" PH5vs speakers from Audix (www.audixusa.com). I'm sure I'm forgetting about others. But that's all I can remember at the moment.
