Is it common for the digital piano dealers to charge more during (and immediately before) the holiday season?

Thanks

There is so much competition on these electronic devices and they are sold from so many different sources (Costco, Sams, GC, local music stores, Amazon and other online music stores) that it is a little bit tough to jack up the price for XMas.

I bought my Yamaha P120 in November when GC was going through a big store sale event => 30% off

When I shopped for a DP during last christmas season I did notice a few things reduced in price, more freebies thrown in (bench, headphone, etc). And Yamaha initiated a rebate program on the P-140 to give you $100 back that might still be going on. But I generally agree with the other poster that pricing is very competitive throughout the year so it just depends on your timing. If you're willing to buy a used piano, the time right after Christmas was ripe. I guess everyone is selling their old piano after getting a new one for Christmas. Ebay and Craig's list had many more listings in January and February.
