Hey guys.

Your help here has been invaluable. I finally got a real professional to show me what the Roland RD-700 can actually do. It was amazing. I was very impressed with the amount of voices, the way they could be "tweeked", the ease of use, the LCD display, and definitely the rhythm patterns/style accompaniments. I wasn't overly impressed or unimpressed with the actual sound of the grand piano's but while listening to this guy kick *** with this Roland RD-700 I couldn't help but think what I would do with the P-250 once I was done playing the piano's. Listening to this guy play along with the beats that were programmed into the RD-700 made me wonder why there were no beats programmed into the P-250? I mean, Yamaha's top "portable" stage piano, and no rhythm patterns or style accompaniments? You have to be kidding me. I want the P-250 so bad, but without those cool beats to play along with, I don't think I can pass up the RD-700.

Any thoughts?

Thanks again guys.

Depends what you want out of the piano. If you need the rythms and patterns more than the actual piano sound, get the RD700.
If you want the P250's piano sound and it's what matters you the most, get the 250.
Also, don't get carried away by demos... they are just a planned routine. The actual result depends on your talent.

Good point about the demos. Talent is a must first. I guess why I'm even considering the RD-700 over the P-250 is because the sound and action of the RD-700 isn't that much different (in my opionion) then the P-250. And because of their similarities there I feel the rhythms just gives me more options for FUN.

Before you pull the trigger, have you seen the new RD700SX? It's described as a big improvement over ther RD700.

EDIT Oh, sorry. I see you were into that on the other thread.

If you're really interested in the accompaniments and beats, take a look at the Roland G-70. WOW!!!!

Click the picture on the left side of the web page and watch/listen to the demos. I played with one of these last weekend and couldn't get enough.
