well - the usual - piano, kbd synth and drums smile

So you're talking about links to soundfont sites?
I do already know a ton.
Let me scrape together my links into something organized and I'll post em, too.

Tomorrow eve after work.

Thanks smile

Actually, I've already got my SF2 links on my website - derrr

Go to http://shazware.com/me/faves.html
And scroll (wayyy) down till you get to the
Midi\sblive_sf2\* stuff

But I -will- go home tonight and try to organize the list of .SF2 files that I actually USE.

Man. I'm pretty way off topic... But oh well...
forums get messy laugh

Okay, well, I uploaded my list of soundfont presets to my website.
http://shazware.com/SFont_Bank.txt

It's what my sequencer uses to address all the soundfont presets.

Look in the parenthesis on each line for the SF2 filename it came from.
I bought the Utopia soundfont a while ago and that's what I use for my GeneralMidi set.
The rest are free ones from hammersound, and all those other sites.

Hopefully this'll be useful for those looking for the GOOD .SF2 files smile

Well, for starters...

Piano

NS_Piano for light, more moody stuff

There are two decent pianos here too: http://www.hum.aau.dk/~bovbjerg/piano.html

And the Giga piano is great for it size, available from sf2midi.com

Drums

GSCW drums (convert to soundfont, or they probably already have been converted): http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=103752

The NS_Kit7free and previous NS_Kits are pretty good.

Ruffrider and Easyrider drums are also nice. (great ride cymbals!)

The Maestro Cream Drums are really good, and have alternate snare sounds and brushes and stuff.
