We just puchased a Mark12/152 and when we turned it on the display read "Kurzweil Mark 12 waking up scanner" and that was it, no notes or buttons would not causeanything to appear in the display or make a sound . Trying to do a reset or loading a disk with a new version of the OS does not work either , the lights flash across the panel on start up and the fallboard light comes on and I can here and feel the air from the cooling fan.I can also here the disk drive open the disk when I insert it , but not one note or response on the display, but the display backlight does come on. Thank You .

Sounds like a software problem. Take it back to the dealer.

Where we live it would be quite difficult as we are in a remote location in N.E. B.C. and being the weekend geeting hold of a tech at Kurzweil isnt possible.I just thought it would nice if I could get it going for the Church tommarrow.
