So, I have pretty much decided to buy a CLP 330, as it seem to fit my needs and liking. It turn out that my brother probably can get me a nice discount, as he knows the dealer fairly well (they sell a lot of instrument and music accessories, and my brother is a member of several bands). While I'm waiting for my brother to get some spare time so we can make a deal, I'm trying to work out where to place the DP once I get it, which made me wonder about a few things.
I live in a basement appartement, so it's naturally a little cold here. Due to the space, I only have 1 wall where the DP can be placed. The space I would like to put it in is below one and a half window (about 1,5m above the floor), and beside an oven placed on the wall (the oven cover the rest of the second window). Since the air tend to get a little chilly right by the windows, and then fall to the floor, I was wondering if this could in any way damage the piano, or if perhaps the heat could in some way have a negative effect. Or perhaps a combination?
The other space is the same wall, only a small meter away, so that it will be just clear of the windows. Although this obviously seem like the natural choice, I would prefer the first option because of a dinner table that needs to fit the puzzle.
We also have a fireplace in the room (3m+ from location 1), and plan to use it during the winter, which will probably result in the room getting quite warm at times. Is there anything I should be careful about in this case?
Maybe I'm way too concerned about this, and the DP is sturdier than I think. I just want to be on the safe side when I first make the step of buying one
