Casio vs. Yamaha: Which is better?

I have played on keyboards made by both companies. They both have their advantages and dis-advantages. For example, on the Yamaha Keyboard, you can record, you have a wider selection of tones and demo songs, and you can choose wheather you want it to be touch sensitive or not when playing. These are all things that my Casio Keyboard doesn't feature. (I use Yamaha Keyboards in my Midi Lab class at school). However, Casio is easier to use. Both the keyboards only run five octaves. I rarely ever use my Casio keyboard since I got my Wurlitzer Upright, but I still make a habbit of useing it if somebody is sleeping and I don't want to disturbe them. I just plug in the headphones. Anyway, back to before, I have been pondering this question for quite some time now, and have come to the conclusion that, dispite it is a little more difficult to use, the Yamaha Keyboard is much better than the Casio Keyboard. Does anyone eles agree or dis-agree with this? What do you find better?

To my ears, the Yamahas sound a little bit less "electronic" than the Casios (if you know what I mean). I remember playing keyboards from both manufacturers when I was trying to find a keyboard for myself (they don't pay post-docs nearly enough to be able to afford anything, sigh). The Casios seemed to be cheaper in price, but for the sound quality, I went for the more expensive Yamaha (it's a PSR-240, FYI). It's only a 61-key synthesizer, and I find that frustrating whenever I want to play something that goes beyond its range. It's useful for practicing my choral pieces though, but that's about it. Thank goodness for friends with real pianos; at least then, I can get my piano fix.

There are, of course, lots of different models and price points of both Casio and Yamaha DPs. I've been quite happy with my Casio Celviano AP-620, both with the sound and the feel. With most DPs you will get the best sound either through a good set of headphones or a decent set of external monitors since the onboard speakers typically don't sound so great.
