I'm new to this forum, so maybe this question has already been answered, however I couldn't find it when I did a topic search. Does anyone know why Kawai has discontinued selling the MP9500? The manufacturer's website stated that was the case when I checked it out. I have never owned a digital piano but would like to buy one and thought this might be the model for me.

It's news to me (though I haven't been paying much attention in the past few months). I would venture the guess that sales have been low. In that price range the competition is pretty tough for what the MP9500 is. However, they may just be preparing to come out with a new model to replace the MP9500. Either way, that should make the price on the MP9500 come down a bit (in the States and Canada at least).
