Going to be visiting Seattle area next week. Anyone know if there is a music store that carries Nord Stage 88 pianos in Seattle area. Would really like to try one out - no dealer w/n 100 miles of me it seems. Thanks.

Don't know about Seattle, but here in Dallas I have played them at some Guitar Centers. Not every GC in our area seems to have them (or maybe they just don't have them all the time) but you might call the stores in and around Seattle to see what they say.

Yeah, called Guitar center in Sacramento (largest city to me) - they are a Nord dealer but don't stock the stage pianos. I'll try guitar center in Seattle tomorrow - thanks for the suggestion.

If you are seeking a good digital piano sound and action, the Nord Stage aint' it.

rintincop, can you tell me if the FP-4 has its own speakers? They are not visible in pictures I've seen of this piano so are they underneath. Furthermore, how is the sound in normal use WITHOUT external speaker set up.

The piano sound in the Nord Stage is Sampletekk's White Grand Jr. A sampled Malsjmo. I've used the full library in live performance from a laptop and its a killer piano sound that not only sounds great solo, but can slice electric guitar players right in half.
