Hi

I need help deciding wether to buy the Yamaha Motif XS7 or the XS rack version.

I already have a Roland FP4 and want to know if it is capable of controlling the Motif XS rack or should I go for the XS7 keyboard version.

I want to be able to use layered sounds and arpeggio patterns for playing live.

I love the action on the FP4 and dont want anything over 20 kilos ruling out the Motif XS8 and Fantom G8.

Basically would I have more control with the keyboard version and if not is my FP4 good enough for controlling the rack versions.?

Any other gear advice would be appreciated.

I play mostly piano(Grade 8) but aslo have played keyboards with drum patterns.
