Saving songs on the Roland KR-7

Hi everybody!
After reading this fantastic forum for a while I just joined the club. I'm 38 and live in Holland and don't own a (digital)piano at the moment, but played keys (organ, keyboards) since my childhood. I'd like to start off with a question if you don't mind.
Looking for a replacement for my current arranger keyboard I visited my local music store last week. They didn't have the board in stock that I was looking for, but among other stuff they showed me the Roland KF-7 digital piano. This is in fact the stage-version of the KR-7 that many of you have.
A piano always appealed to me, but I would never want to miss the music style accompaniments of an arranger keyboard. But this instrument seems to have it all. I admit that I was a bit afraid that the fully weighted piano keys were an obstacle for me, but they felt very nice after only a few minutes of playing. In fact playing one of the keyboards in the store after that was disappointing. Those keys suddenly felt very flimsy!
I have one question about this instrument however. I like to play along with midifiles every now and then. According to the store owner the KR-7/KF-7 cannot save these in it's internal memory to play after it has been switched off and on. But in the specs it says that it has an internal memory of "Max. 200 songs on Favorites". Does this mean that you can save your own songs without diskettes? And can it also be used to save midi-songs?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Regards,
Tom

Tom,
I have a KR-7 and yes you can save MIDI files into its internal memory. I have downloaded from the internet and purchased floppy discs and have saved them both to the unit. The only thing I have found that it will not allow is for you to save certain copyrighted songs from the KR-7 onto a floppy. You CAN also record your own song and save it internally. It is one great instrument.

Thanks for the reply Tim!
You being so very enthousiastic about the instrument gives me confidence. The salesman must have been wrong here, claiming that the KF7 and KR7 have to load a song from a disk every time.
By the way, I managed to download the manual from the Roland website just an hour ago. This also mentions that the instrument has an internal song memory. I guess this unit really is the best of both worlds, a good digital piano and also a fully equipped arranger keyboard.
