Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the sustain pedal on the p250 (does it have one? - I don't even know). Is it like a pedal on an acoustic piano or is just a basic on/off pedal?

Thanks in advance.

I was under the impression that it was the same pedal as the P120 model. It's more than an on/off pedal, but nothing will be the same as an acoustic (dampers moving up and down). I thought the P120 model pedal was good enough, which was a big reason I decided to buy it.

But again, I'm not sure.

Thanks! Something a bit better than just on or off was all that I wanted I think.

At least with the pedal you'd get the feel of working the technique and bringing it into the sections of the music where it was required. The technique of using it the key issue.

I just bought a P250 about three weeks ago and the sustain pedal it came with has three contact points on the 1/4 plug (as opposed to an on\off pedal which only has two contact points). The pedal responds as a 'real' sustain on a 'real' piano. I don't know how many gradations the pedal or the piano has but it performs well. Once you swap that kind of pedal with a conventional pedal, the difference is night and day.

I believe it is the FC3 sustain pedal which feels like a real pedal but has three "positions" which allows half pedaling. It's the same one I have on my P90.
