I don't know too much about organs, more of a piano person myself. My church is looking at installing a new organ. We've discussed Allen and Rogers of course, now another committee member wants us to go listen to an Ahlborn Galanti at another nearby church. I'm not familiar with the name. I've visited their website, but of organists I've spoken with, none are familiar with this organ. Can anybody help me out, do you have any experience with this company, and how would you compare it with Allen and Rodgers?

Let me recommend a real organ. Pipe organ possibilities are available through the Organ Clearing House and the Organ Historical Society. they are headquartered in Richmond, Va. They exist to promote and preserve pipe organs. Organsociety.org or do a sear on just about any search engine for OHS.

I would "second" that last post ( even though it posted twice \:\) . A real organ will be a better investment in the long run and will will be more musically satisfying. I have played in organ recitals this year celebrating two different pipe organs. One was 40 years old and the other was 50 years old. They still are going great and certainly will continue to do so. The electronic is obsolete in 5-10 years old. The Organ Clearing House is a very responsible organization. It will be more work for you and your committee; however, you will not be influenced by organ salesmen and their " pearls of wisdom".
