Does anybody know "Two Pieces for Organ (Fancy/Tocatta)", by Herbert Howells. As far as I know, these pieces were written for manuals in 1959. I don't know them. How do they sound? stevekk

Stevekk, Sorry, I haven't heard of those pieces by H. Howells. I have a "Siciliano for a High Ceremony" by him and I also have the Psalm Preludes. I have put both away as I am playing a very non-Howells tracker organ at the present. His music choral music (ie. the canticles) are great. Our choir did "My Eyes for Beauty Pine" a couple of weeks ago. I found none of his music easy; however, it is worth the effort. If you order the "Two Pieces" , let us know what you think of them!
