Newspaper reports from Europe are fearing the worst. Is this gonna go 'all the way'???
1] India and Pakistan to clash.... 2] Pakistan mob to take over power.... 3] bin Laden obtaining access to nukes... 4] Delta force on 'red alert'.......
Hope this won't make the big battles of world war 2 look like a cakewalk in paradise.....

Nobody in their right minds would want to use a nuke. Theres just no point in it. If any war ever goes nucular, we can all kiss this planet goodbye.

Ah, but remember - bin Laden and the Taliban aren't in their right minds.
I read a report on a Pakistani newswire that said the leader of the Taliban, Moamar Muhammed, spent hours each day sitting in his Jeep pretending to drive it, while making a motor noise with his mouth - like little kids do. Does this sound like someone who would have enough sense to think of the consequences of using a nuke?

That's why it's only a matter of time to realize that you can kiss Pakistan and most other Mid East countries pretending to be on our side good-bye!!
Uncle Sam always learns this - the hard way!

Although Pakistan is, Afgahnistan is NOT a nuclear power. To the best of my knoweldge they do not have nuclear bombs, the technology to build nuclear bombs, or the money to buy nuclear bombs. If any transaction of a nuke is made, it could most likely only be made by Osama Bin Landen himself (becuase of his millions of dollars). Bin Laden's assesets have been frozen in some countries and I don't think that there is anyone who would supply Afgahnistan with any weapon of mass distruction with the expection of Iraq. That insain Suddom Hussein (spelling?) might love to supply them with nuke to use against us. However, I still fully doubt that any of this will go nuclear.

There's all kinds of nuclear scientists out there taking cash. Ex-Soviets,alone are "For Sale" by the hundreds.... Then there's the Taliban friendly Paki- engineers: by far the most dangerous group!
There are many, many more dangers, this thing will lead into the ultimate morass.
Fighting this war with 'bow' and 'arrow'?
I doubt it.

Its not wheather of or not that this war will go nuclear that I worry about but some think that it could turn into World War 3, which may go nuclear. Albert Einstein once said "I know not what weapons will be used to fight World War 3 but World War 4 will be fought with sticks and stones". Think about that one for a moment. It just may scare you.

Interesting theory jgoo...some say mankind has been going around this circle several times by now.......
[Personally, I prefer to have an atomic bomb fall on my head than being beaten to death with sticks & stones..that's REALLY scary all right!]

Originally posted by Norbert: ...some say mankind has been going around this circle several times by now.......[/b] Yes. They do say that history likes to repeat itself. Did you know that we could be much more advanced in science today than we already are? A long time ago (I'm really sorry but I don't have a date here) the city of Alexandra was attacked. In Alexandra, there was a big library with every manuscript ever written by man. It was burned down to the ground in the attack because the technology was advancing too quickly, and it scared the people. Scientists today say that the burning of that building set back the world of science at least 100 years if not more. (Because back then there wasn't copies of the text like there is now because it had to be all hand written). And in my own opinion, the people of ancient Egypt and some other places (just most noteable in Egypt) may have been smarter than we are today. If you would like some examples, just say so because I don't really feel like writing them all out now, especially if nobody will read them. I'm really into ancient history, especially ancient Egypt.
