:3hearts: Hi all! Sometimes when I sit to play I am filled with awe and joy... my whole being responds with delight at the miracle of music and human intellect before me. A single chord that sings with the voices of all angels and resonates through my soul with just a touch from me... comes from something mine; something strong, and deep. . .. Tell us what you love about your piano.

this thread has not been very popular, inspite of it's noncontroversiality.
I'm about to go fantasize for an hour or so.. How I love it when the fam falls asleep early...

My piano makes these sounds....sometimes I'll like a sound so well that I'll stop playing. And just sit there and listen to the sound. And play that part again...and listen. My family thinks I'm barking mad... I also adore the action and the feel of the tops of the keys...man oh man...it is so fun to play. I even love dusting it. Underneath. My family may be right. I care not...if crazy feels this good, I would not like to be sane.

A little Estonia - (Stone). You might remember my questions about a Fandrich and Sons piano, David.

I truly love my old I&P and all the joy it brings to me!!! Walk in the front door and there it will be beckoning me to come touch the keys!! (this is truly fun, apple, but now that I have thought about it I realize I haven't even touched my piano today and it could also use a dusting.... I'll be back!!! I'm off to play some tunes and newer pieces in my expanded repertoire)

Well my Yamaha S4 does such wonders with my two favorite XMAS tunes,"Have yourself a Merry Little XMAS" and "The XMAS Song." I play 'em both in the key of Eb, one after another in a medley with a splendid jazz arrangement.

I love that playing allows me to get closer to geniune works of genius such as Beethoven sonatas or Bach's Golbergs than I'd ever be able to get to any other genius pieces of art.
I love the tactile process of playing. Not only is there beatiful music being made (hopefully), but, necessarily, there's also a beautiful finger dance being created as well! I've always liked juggling and that kind of stuff too, so playing piano appeals to me on that level.

I don't really say much but sometimes I think my Piano says it all. I suppose it lets me channel my inner feelings.
At times, when I play it's like I'm in another world.
I'd be really lonely without my Piano.

I love when the house is empty and I can upen here up all the way so the sound echos throughout the house. I completely loose track of time and where I am when I get into it. I love playing Chopin's concerto at these times. It's really amazing when it's sooo quiet in my house and I can just sing to myself.
