...why don't all of you pay Frank a couple of bucks to make a "Coffee Room website". Then pay a monthly subscription fee to completely cover the costs. No moderators, you can beat the hell out of each other in some threads or talk about gardening in others.
I don't think anyone should have a problem paying a couple of bucks a month for this entertainment (which is what it really is) and decoupling Frank the forum.
It would be a shame to lose this incredible collection of people.

Sorry if I stole kluurs idea. I didn't see his post about this; there have been so many threads the past day I haven't read thru all of them.
Maybe there could be a student discount? (You are a student right?)

Cool, thanks for the link Kenny. Looks like folks are already migrating.
Should I start a CEO thread? I haven't gotten on my soapbox in a long time on that topic. Just kidding.

Penny, you deserve a smack for that comment! ;-)
(I don't know how to use those smily thingies anymore - something ain't working right)
Kluurs, ironically today is one of those days that working at the Piggly Wiggly is looking more and more attractive. Only 2.5 hours left - woohoo.

Come on. If we're just the same ole people discussing the same ole thing, won't it get stale? [/b] It's an astute observation. It's one of the reasons I thought Larry's might work out better, but as I said, I'm having trouble getting on his, while jgoo's was pretty easy. The ultimate answer, of course, is to do what Cindy is trying to do - start a competing piano board. However, I sense that things will be so heavily moderated over there, that what makes this place hum will be lost. Here's a thought....if you could gather some of the people that could make a piano board work, you could probably compete, at least in a small sense. Rick Clark comes to mind, KB, as does Larry, and lb....yeah, I know somebody's going to make a smart comment about the tone of said board, but you wouldn't have to worry whether what you were hearing was from knowleadeable folks. Most of the rest of us have enough general consumer information, we can rival anything anybody else has on the web. Then, you essentially do what was done here. This place may have 10K members, but how many are actually regulars? If I am correct, the PF is populated by only about 50-100 who post regularly.[/b] The vast majority of folks are hit and run. Sorry if I offended anyone, I'm just thinking out loud...

And I pay for 3 ISPs and for the ADSL. And for the firewall, for the anti-spyware and other various donations. I WANT SOMETHING IN RETURN , GODAMIT !
