(just kidding about the communist part! ;\) )

After all these comments about that bizzaro piano forum place, I just checked to see what it looked like and told myself I would *NEVER* post there.

BUT, the ever fun thread about homosexuality is present there, and everyone is so "happy" to have "such a civil discussion", and wow things are "so nice" there...THATS BECAUSE THEY ALL AGREE!!!

I hate sitting back and watching them discuss it from a one-sided point of view. I want to input my thoughts, since it seems no one else is; or they are scared to go in their and oppose the homophiles (ya like that word? ;\) ) alone...so the questions is: Should I enter the dark side or should I stay out of it?

They even mentioned "the 89th key" over there...so I guess my 'gay-bashing' is infamous!!

You all are my friends, and I will listen to what you all think. \:\)

Stay out of it. Let them have their fun alone. If you post anything controversial it will only add fuel to their fire with regards to how awful and close minded PW is. THis is your home.

I feel about it along the same lines as something Larry said recently - in their forum. They seem like a nice bunch of folks. However, they have recently picked up the folks from pique's posse, plus a few others. The others are there out of curiosity, or because they wish a more sedate place. With the addition of some of the folks from here, I don't think it will remain sedate very long.

One thing I did get a kick out of...none of the pique posse bunch bothered to post their email addies. Oversight, I reckon...

Anyway, as long as folks don't just drop in here long enough to lob a turd, live and let live. May they enjoy themselves, in their newfound civil world.(Not that when folks behave themselves, this place is pretty civil, and always witty.)

I'm just wondering how long before they are infected with sockpuppet disease.

89th:

What, precisely, is it that makes you think that your point of view on that subject is all that interesting to anyone but yourself? Find yourself a new topic to beat to a bloody pulp. Seriously. Infamy is not the same as fame.

Neither fame, or infamy.

You will have to admit, that here in the CR it seemed like we had a homosexual acceptance/non-acceptance thread going almost once a week. Why, I don't know, since the positions are pretty well staked out, and I didn't see any Pauline Conversions happening.

Larry that is a photo of the Kaikhosru S. Sorabji (1892 - 1988)- composer. The links you've posted have nothing to do with the late composer but belong to someone else. The composer's politics were anything but liberal.

I believe the person who mentioned "crap" was teasing me.

And no, I don't allow my e-mail to show there. Or here.

You know, there are types of interaction humans can have other than *arguing.*

Always the vampire, eh, Tommie? Too bad all that bloodsucking really WON'T give you immortality. It does give you beastly bad breath, though. As is evidenced by the number of buzzards you've driven off the s*** wagon.

You got my vampire metaphor all right--but to call the people I've "driven off" "buzzards" is going to give your Liberal buddies heart attacks. I won't comment on the rest of the sentence. \:\) )

Rephrase that and come back to me.

"Driven to drink" or "driven up the wall" are probably more appropriate.

89,

The only way to avoid coming off as a raving lunatic when talking about something you clearly hold such passionate views on is to establish yourself BEFORE you launch your diatribe. If you start right in on the homosexual thread, no one will listen to you because you haven't given them any reason to think you might be reasonable in other areas.

So, my advice FWIW is to let it go. If you want to share your views at some future point, then start posting there on other topics and simply wait for it to come up again after you've established yourself as a rational being.
