Jack Frost, I have read only a few of your posts, but I enjoy reading and respect many of your intelligent, level-headed arguments. Too bad I won't get to meet you in Haverhill. Do stick around. [/b] But you will get to meet my lovely wife. (And she does not always breathe fire.) jf

We could do it conjunction with the Piano World Cruise. I come aboard the ship and I no doubt will be murdered in the first 15 mins. Who will the murderer be? The sweet grandmotherly Ariel, the urbane and well dressed Chickgrand, the cute but jealous apple, the witty and sophisticated pique, the rollyeyed Matt G... The possibilities are endless!

A piece of work he is.....and very very Republican. He says over and over that HE is the one with an open mind. I asked him to name ONE issue on which he and the wall Street Journal editorial page differed.....That was eight months ago...he is still thinking![/b] At least he is thinking. Do you know what would happen if you asked your wife to name an issue on which she and Moveon.org differed? At least the Wall Street Journal has credibility, and a reason to exist.

When I first signed onto PW and entered the "coffeeroom" I thought my husband had already found this forum ahead of me.... I thought he was "gryphon"!!! I awoke at 3:30AM to read who JF is!! I think my family/friends are starting to be concerned about my mental health!! I I am awaiting my sister's arrival from the Cape who will be here momentarily. I am babysitting her 2 labs (my poor cats don't know what they are in for this wknd) while her (& SO) head up to Bethel on another house search. My brother moved to Bridgton last year. Hmmm.. oh well, one at a time, I guess. [/b] Maine, though very tax heavy, is a wonderful and beautiful place to live. Especially if you like to ski. jf

Well I'll be whatever...... I had to check here every so often like a soap opera addict, in anticipation of the unveiling of Jack Frost. I would never have guessed two of my favorite liberal friends on this forum were married to each other. :2hearts: It's a good thing one isn't a liberal and the other a conservative!

I hope that our earlier back-and-forth in the AA thread helped to "hook" you into staying. Now, of course, without saying the actual words, you've admitted that you can understand kathy's addiction to PW - we're not just a bunch of pixels after all; we're real, thinking, interesting, infuriating, lovable people; and shucks, you're fond enough of us all to share more about yourself. That's a good thing. [/b] YES, Dwain on all accounts. And wherever you are hiding, I (we) miss you. jf

What an entertaining and enlightening thread Jack. I've been away for the last ten days, so missed out on the fun at the beginning; however, I have to admit that I suspected you were related to Kathy from the beginning -- I noticed a lot of familiarity in your comments to and about her in your posts -- but I thought you were perhaps a brother or an in-law.
You two definitely complement each other. And I mean that in only the most positive way!
