Although by my own admission, sometimes they got dangerously close to becoming annoying!
Here's the scoop behind the scenes:
Aveu came first, and he was always set in one manner of speech, and in order to mock how much importance some people affix to non-important things, I would mention how a word choice or perhaps even a number choice seemed to be of so much value, while flowering it up with fancy language. In truth, the subject matter was trite, but it came off otherwise.
With both Aveu and Roi, I tried to never stir up trouble, I was there mainly for enjoyment. Although at times, if provoked, they indeed had to bite back.
To make a thematic connection, upon the downfall of Aveu, I had the Hugo quote "Il tombe enfin!...et se releve roi" , and then came Roi! Roi was a mix of Aveu and often strayed from his manner of speech, but something was always there.
Most people saw the humor behind it all, but I am sure I might of angered a few!
Also, it was surprising I was able to completely avoid detection. I doubt anyone under the sun knew who Aveu was, and even Roi. (Although I started dropping some hints later on)
I commonly adapted the British way of spelling things, like humour instead of humor, in order to further avoid detection.
I might of been the "don't you agree guy" too.

" But I'm not telling.
We are mutual parties in our agreement, are we not? Indeed, we agree!
Naw, doesn't feel like me. Or maybe...
