Bush gets caught telling a stretcher by ABC News (mean old liberal media):

PETER JENNINGS: We were struck today by a very pointed attack by President Bush on John Kerry.

First of all, this is what Mr. Bush said.

[begin video clip]

BUSH: We agree that the world is better off with Saddam Hussein sitting in a prison cell.

And that stands in stark contrast to the statement that my opponent made yesterday, when he said that the world was better off with Saddam in power.

I strongly disagree.

[end video clip]

JENNINGS: And this is what Mr. Kerry actually said. [emphasis original]

[begin video clip]

KERRY: Saddam Hussein was a brutal dictator who deserves his own special place in Hell.

But that was not...in and of itself, a reason to go to war.

The satisfaction...that we take in his downfall does not hide this fact:

We have traded a dictator for a chaos that has left America less secure.

[end video clip]

Does anybody really think Bush isn't just making this stuff up. Listening to the clip you really do have the sense he's just "wingin'" it.

Lurch has repeatedly called it "the wrong war, at the wrong time, for the wrong reasons". Add that to Saddam's being a brutal dictator is not a reason to go to war, and any thinking person is left with no other way to interpret it, Nettie. If Kerry had been president the last 4 years, Saddam would still be in power. He clearly doesn't think we should have gone in and removed him from power, and he has no credible alternative to war as a means of removing him from power. That leaves only the conclusion that Kerry would prefer to have Saddam in power than to have fought to remove him.

Silly nutbobs.

Dear Nettie,

What tune are you whistling as you walk past the graveyard?

You know what's happening, and I know what's happening, and it is becoming very apparent you are resigning yourself, and your party, to its' justly deserved fate.

Knock yourself out, bud, but I'm starting to laugh at you.

And laughter is good for us all, isn't it? \:D
