This article by Sandy Berger, former Clinton administration official is very long, but well worth a read and some thought.

In my own opinion for what it's worth, I don't think the Bush administration fully considered, or understood, who knows, what impact the invasion of Iraq would have on the ability of the United States to be a world leader.

Can you invision a world, where leaders are being elected based on their opposition to US foreign policy? I don't think we can deny that it is already happening, and we can expect to see more of it as election time rolls around. Can you comprehend what a negative impact that could have on the support we will or will not get, in fighting terrorism?
