Did anyone watch O'Reilly last night. They talked about a craze that has really caught on in England called "dogging". Maybe I'm arriving late on this one but I've never heard the term until last night. It refers to sexual intercourse in public places, sometimes with a crowd gathered around as spectators. Yes, and THIS in ENGLAND of all places. eek I'm hoping those from the U.K. will enlighten us somewhat. I wouldn't be quite as surprised if this was happening in the good 'ol U.S. or France even, but England?
Lovers will make arrangements to meet at a park or some other public place and then go at it without hesitation.
Apparently there are no public nudity laws in England. This of course outraged O'reilly.
Hepatitis is now spreading at a remarkable rate.
My only question at this point; anyone know of any good rates on airline tickets to London? laugh

Yes, I read about this several days ago. Never used to happen when I lived there though frown Furthermore, now that it's out in the open, it'll stop (like most things when they get too well known).

What *was* very popular in my day (around 15-20 years ago) was driving to a secluded place with your partner and jumping in the back seat (at least, that's what I've been told wink ) I guess in the US it's called "necking"? In the UK it typically involved more than the neck though eek

Which brings us to why they call it "dogging" laugh

Regards,

Gary.

Never heard of it before O'Reilly last night. Apparently it's more than no nudity laws, there's no obscenity laws covering sex in public unless someone else complains (say mothers walking their children through the park).

Perhaps they need mothers walking their children to stand by at all times in the park.

(probably better just to change the law)

So Gary, by this you mean that you've engaged in such a public display of perfection, ummm, I mean affection?

"Dogging"? Never heard of it.

However, in the UK, if you remain unclothed at length in a busy public place, there is a reasonable chance you'll be arrested and charged under the breach of peace and public order act.

If you're stupid enough to have sex in a busy public place, then being arrested is probably the least of your worries.

Why anyone would want to do this is beyond me. But it seems to be a thrill for some. A few years back, there was some footage floating around on the internet of something similar going on. Way up in the mostly vacant cheap seats of an indoor sports (football?) game. I don't think those folks realized how good the telephoto lenses on the television cameras were... eek

Back at the University of Chicago - the football team was a joke. Everyone was way to busy studying to do sports. Anyway.... Some one thought it would be a good idea to do the 100 yard dash at some game. They recruited openminded cheerleaders - usually there were none. Even I saw the logic behind wearing nothing as opposed to the cheerleading costumes they had from the 1950s.
