Oh, then I don't know. I thought the medicine bottle was his slide of choice. Those are obsolete.

Feel free to ask your own questions.
I have another one. What is the real name of the Nowhere Man that the Beatles sang about?

OK. Here's a trivia question from PianoJerome: (Edit: I don't like that question anymore. I'll try a different one. ) Name three European composers who all born in the year 1685. Name two American composers who both died in the year 1990. Name one Brazillian composer who was not born in 1685 and who did not die in 1990.

I don't think I'm warm, I think I'm right. But obviously don't know the answer if you say I'm wrong.

Definitely the Outsiders. Plays, of course you would know. Great little song from a band that went nowhere.

OK, when the Beatles played their infamous 30 minute set at Shea Stadium, who was the opening band? For extra credit, name two of their best known songs (can't say "hits" because they never rose that high).

plays, re: duane im not sure what u r getting at, i am positive gryph is correct about the coricidin, my source is scott freeman's book, "midnight riders" which i read cover to cover several times, being an allmans junkie in my youth. slide guitar was originally called bottleneck guitar because players would use the neck of a broken wine bottle to get the effect. it was duane who always used a coricidin bottle. while we are on allmans trivia, who was elizabeth reed? (no google please) BTW, for the big crowd out there who thinks layla is a guitar masterpeice and witness to eric claptons virtuoisity...the slide in the peice, both the fast first part and the second slow part, is played by duane allman, check the credits. the slide in "while my guitar gently weeps" is not played by george harrison, its played by eric clapton, who was inspired at the feet of the great duane allman, probably the best slide guitarist who ever lived.

Wasn't Elizabeth Reed a friend of one of the band? I seem to remember reading who she was but can't remember. I'm wrong.

In it, he said that his favorite slide item was one of those little individual glass bottles of cream you used to get in restaurants when you ordered coffee. Remember them?

the band used to practice late at night at the rose hill cemetary in macon georgia.
one of the gravestones nearby, had the name elizabeth reed (1845-1935)
dicky betts immortalized her by dedicating a song to her memmory, because of all the jam sessions they had near her grave and she was probably listening to from the "other world".

Riddles!
Bob Geldof, ah, what a name! Such turgid beauty in an almost transparent guise! Hark! To have such an assembly of letters in unison must mean the gods themselves are upon us!
