Sorry to disagree with you NAK, but I just don't think that ANY thread is completely useless. I think one could learn SOMETHING, no matter how pointless, insignificant, trivial or even downright drivelous from almost ANY thread in this forum. ... [Rosanna] There's always SOMETHING [/Danna]...

hang on a second ......

I wouldn't call this thread useless... it inspires conversation! (for better and for worse)

"Ishmael...
I have a really important question to ask you"

"yeeeeeeeeeees"

"Do the chickens have large talons?"

"no"

"ok"

"otherwise theyd have lips"

"so they don't have lips?"

"indeed"

"fascinating
so the bullies would be lying if they said to the chickens, 'you suck'?"

"yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees
but
they could say
'you peck'"

"oh dear"

"i know"

"that's terrible
but what do lips have to do with large talons?"

"thats a good question
but i cant answer that
youll have to look it up
indeed"

"sacre bleu
I cannot grasp the meaning of this conversation
perhaps my talons are not large enough"

"thats ok
i dont think anyone else on my web broadcast can either"

Not a particularly inspiring conversation, I'll admit, but a conversation nonetheless.... \:D

I have it next up on my Netflix queue -- I've seen it but my GF hasn't... it's a blast -- brought me right back to high school!

(and a sweet story to boot).

My daughter has the Napoleon Dynamite CD. And I have the theme song and another song from the movie in the car. The theme song is actually quite nice.

The deleted scenes on the CD are quite, um, interesting.

NAK, do the math... if you can wait six years, you've got it made. \:D

Oh, and BTW, Cindy's "fox" comment places her squarely in the late 1970's. Back then a "fox" was someone like Farrah Fawcett -- who's now old enough to be your grandmother -- a gorgeous specimen of womanhood. Cindy is a "fox," too, and you know what they say: "The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree." ;\) )

Matt,

How *dare* you! Use of the term "fox" does *not* date me as a child of the 70's!

Fine. Have it your way.

My daughter is not a fox, then. She's a brick house.

That's one of my favorite songs to dance to. I generally only dance at church fundraisers. I am known as THE dancer, starting at the very first song, and demanding just a few more at the end. We have a very big, coordinated black dad who is also known as a dancer too. We are expected to dance this song at every event... coming up on this Saturday..

Ow, she's a brick house
Shes mighty, mighty, just lettin' it all hang out
Ow, she's a brick house
I like ladies stacked, that's a fact, ain't holdin' nothin' back
Ow, she's a brick house
Well-built together, everybody knows, this is how the story goes

She knows she's got everything
That a woman needs to get a man, yeah, yeah
How can she lose, good stuff she use
36-24-36, what a winning hand

'Cause she's a brick house
She's mighty, mighty, just lettin' it all hang out
Hey, she's a brick house
Oh, I like ladies stacked, that's a fact, ain't holdin' nothin' back
Oh, she's a brick house, yeah
She's the one, the only one, built like an amazon

Mmm, the clothes she wear, her sexy ways
Make a old man wish for younger days, yeah, yeah
She knows she's built and knows how to please
Sho'nuff can knock a strong man to his knees

'Cause shes a brick house
Yeah, she's mighty, mighty, jJust lettin' it all hang out
Hey, brick house
I like a lady's stacked, that's a fact, ain't holdin' nothin' back, ow

Shake it down, shake it down, down
Shake it down, shake it down, down
Shake it down, shake it down, down
Shake it down, shake it down, down, down

Shake it down, shake it down, down
Shake it down, shake it down, down
Shake it down, shake it down, down
Shake it down, ow

Brick house
Yeah, she's mighty, mighty, just lettin' it all hang out
Ow, a brick house
Yeah she's the one, the only one, built like an amazon, yeah

Shake it down, shake it down, shake it down, down
Shake it down, shake it down, shake it down, down
Shake it down, shake it down, shake it down, down
Shake it down, shake it down, shake it, shake it

Shake it down, shake it down, shake it down, down
Shake it down, shake it down, shake it down, down
Shake it down, shake it down, shake it down, down
Shake it down, shake it down, shake it

Ow, a brick house
